Promotion: link popularity: reciprocal links: link exchange

Link exchange

has proved to be one of the easiest ways for a website, especially a just-out one, to get the thick net of backlinks needed for high rankings in Google. All you need is to find a hoped-for link-exchange partner (a website relevant to your business niche and already in good with Google), put a link to it from your page and get a link pointing to your site from his page. What can be easier, especially when there are all kinds of link-exchange software to help you up? Yet even this "easiest" way has its pitfalls, minimizing the payoff of this traffic- and sales-promising strategy. And writing convincing link-exchange requests for most website owners turns out to be the main one.

This "seeming to be a trifle act" plays vital role in your whole link-exchange campaign, for a fault in your link-exchange email can cause its going straight to a dustbin. You'll then end up without the "might-have-been" partner even considering the slightest possibility of putting a link to your website. Here are the basic tips to arm you to the teeth for link-exchange quest and make other website owner strive to exchange links with you.

How to write no-refuse link-exchange emails?

Be personal Whether you're writing each link-exchange email yourself, or using templates in link-exchange software, make sure your emails don't seem to address no one. Even if you're sending one and the same email to hundreds of website owners, each of them should feel you're talking to him. Take the trouble to at least address the other webmaster by name and include his website's title and URL.

Keep it short Keep in mind: other people have much to do, besides reading your verbiage. So don't write a novel, don't chew the fat, be as short as possible instead.

Be informative Don't make the other webmaster guess who you are and what you want. Provide all details: your name, your website's URL, the subject theme of your website, the exact URL and anchor text you would like to get a link with.

Provide the HTML code of the link If possible, include the HTML code of the link for the webmaster to insert it into his page's code. This gives you more control over the design of your link and the keywords you choose to incorporate in it.

Prove your website is worth linking to Explain why your site is a good linking partner. Mention everything positive about your site's linking potential - traffic statistics, number of return visitors, amount of visitor feedback, the fact that you only link to relevant sites in good neighborhoods, etc.

Show interest in the website itself, not in "another backlink" only Show you've made up your mind to link to the website because of its quality and content, and because you believe it to be useful to your visitors. Offering link trade off the bat may seem like saying "Hey, I don't care who you are and what you do. I only need a link to get higher in Google", which may be quite offensive.

Be the first to put a link Offer link exchange only after putting a link to the website on your own page. In the end, you can always remove the link, if something goes wrong. But don't say "I'll put a link if you put one first", for why should someone do it, if you didn't find time to do it yourself. In your email, point the exact URL where you've placed a link to the website.

Write informative subject line Pay attention to the text in the subject line of your email. Don't leave it blank, and don't write "Link", "I was looking at your site" or something as unclear. Make the subject informative by pointing that it is a "link exchange request" or even include your website URL into it.

Savvy link-exchange software can spare you countless hours of work and take care of all these aspects. But anyway keep in mind that link exchange request is only something to make another website owner take interest in your website. The decisive factor is your website and business itself. So build up a high-quality business and a top-notch website about it and feast your eyes upon the ever-growing net of backlinks it gets.

Html templates at Vooweb.com

In order to create a professional looking and effective email, a lot of attention must be placed on the design of your HTML email template layout. A template that looks dull, shabby or simply untidy can lead to detrimental effects on a reader's perception of you as well as your business, products and services. So when you decide to create HTML email, pay attention to the layout of your email. Take a look at these four great tips for your email layout:

1. Provide sufficient white space

It is imperative that your HTML email have just the right amount of free white space in its layout design. There is a fine line between too much white space and too little. You must make sure that you maintain a balance as excessive white space makes your email look bare and unprofessional while too little white space gives your email a cramped and untidy look. It is also a good idea to leave lines between paragraphs. This makes your email look tidy and spacious.

2. Make use of bullet p 5a8 oints

Using features like bullet points gives your email a very stylish and readable touch. Sometimes your email may contain a number of important points; in such a case it would look untidy if you listed all these points in paragraph form. Bullet points are the best solution for such issues. Making use of bullet points is especially helpful when you want readers to pay attention to certain topics. Each topic in your email can be introduced as a distinct bullet point so that readers can give each topic its due attention.

3. Create an effective subject line

Creating an effective subject line is a difficult task. Readers take a quick glance at the subject line of your email and make a decision; a subject line that is less than perfect, results in instant deletion - one click and your email is relegated to the trash or junk mail folder. Keep your subject line short, ensure that it is relevant to your email content and make sure that it leaves a great impression on your readers.

4. Select the correct text format

Your email recipients have a wide gamut of ways in which they can choose to read their emails. Emails can be opened and read via an email client program and also via a web based client. When it comes to your emails, select a text format that is most compatible with the majority of your readers. This will result in your emails being received in an error free lay b50 out, no matter what type of email client is used by your readers.

A professional looking HTML layout is sure to lead to an improvement in your response rate, so give these tips a shot when you create your email.

SEO company

Google looking to join the legions of SEO companies

It's been reported that Google is considering starting their own . This, if true, would be potentially massive news for the SEO industry.

Serena Shapero over at Newswire has stated that Google intend to get their SEO business off the ground by early May. Allegedly, Google's SEO team would consist of about 100 employees, clients could be char 5a8 ged up to $25,000 a month and Google will have a team of SEO robots* to deal with poor rankings.

Allegedly, Google will promise only ethical practices but how many giant corporations play nice? If Google does jump into the SEO pool they will have a monopoly of the SEO industry and it will be nowhere near as fun as the game.

Small SEO businesses will surely be put out of business and probably some medium sized ones too. Will the SEO companies just take their business to Yahoo and Bing? Unlikely, seeing as how popular Google is with the general public.

You can't handle the truth!

Okay, so enough of the scare mongering, is it likely to happen? SEO has been around for a while; if Google was going to do it surely it would have by now. Also, Google offers a lot of information to users so they can produce sites with high quality SEO, surely they wouldn't bother if they had ever considered becoming an SEO company.

Some highly regarded colleagues of mine (and one I'm indifferent to) offered their take on the report. "Where's the proof?" was retorted to the Newswire article. I've had a quick look on Google's blog and if they were going to start a business in early May wouldn't there be (at least) a bit of advertising? Another colleague said "this would just be like buying space in Adwords only you pay $25,000 for it instead of a few pounds per click".

So, will Google be starting an SEO company? Don' b50 t hold your breath (that's just good advice for most situations).

By the way, if you're interested, the state of Oregon is incorporating Google Apps into the education system.

*Quite probably not true.

This Weeks Article: The Radiohead Story
Radiohead are that rare thing: a band that has maintained is artistic freedom over the years, despite being signed to a major label – and a band that has constantly developed. This week’s article looks at the story of how Radiohead got to where they are today, and hopefully you can take a few tips so that you can make it the Radiohead way.

Music is changing. In fact, the music industry is changing; it is changing even faster than it realises. Major record labels are often up to speed on latest developments, but it is indie music that leads the way in the music world - and everyone else seems to follow. Indeed, with the online music revolution taking place right now, being signed to a major record label is less and less important. However, having your own record label can be more and more beneficial.
