| Now here's a curious tune. I love to make unusual timbre merges. In this Pop/Rock song I used acoustic guitar for the heart of the song and then surrounded it with hard edged electric guitar lines to give it a hybrid and somewhat confusing sound. The idea was to force the ears and brain to work harder because of the panning and unusual merge of timbres. Then I added vocals with modulated effects give my voice an unusual texture. Some may be annoyed but I like conflict within a song. It gives it that oldschool "tension and Release". The lyrical message is about couples who can't stand each other but stay together anyway. Why? |
